Trips
Past trips become a journal of places, notes and photos. Plan the next one together: invite friends by name, @name, email or a link, and everyone edits the same trip. Afterwards, tick what you made it to.

Updates
Trekit is new and changing fast. Leave your email and we’ll tell you when something big lands.
Our privacy promise: we don’t sell your data, there are no ads or ad trackers, and you can download or erase your map any time in the app, under Map → your name → ⚙ Settings (“Export my map”, “Delete…”). Your map lives in your browser, or in your account if you sign in; if you make a link, a copy is stored so others can open it, and “Remove link” deletes it. Read the whole thing; it’s short.
Yes, Trekit is free right now. Everything in the app is open to everyone.
Not to start. Open the app and add your places; they save in your browser. Sign in with Google or an email link and your map is kept in your account, on every device.
Yes. “Share” gives your map its own page. Put it in your bio or paste it when someone asks where to go.
Yes. Your Google Maps Timeline is read in your browser; only far-off spots are looked up by location to get a name. From photos, only where and when each was taken is read, and each place’s name is looked up from its location.
Yes. Invite them by name, @name, email or a link, and you all edit the same trip.
A little: you can follow people and see where they’ve been. No likes, no ads, no algorithm.
As little as we can, and only to run your map. Signed out, your places never leave your browser. Signed in, your map is stored in your account on EU servers; a shared link keeps a copy so others can open it. No ads, no ad trackers, no analytics service inside the app (signed in, we note the dates you open it, nothing more), and we will never sell your data.
