Plan a trip with friends

One trip, one map, everyone in.

Put the stops on a map, add the places you want to go, and invite the people coming. Everyone edits the same plan, instead of a group chat.

Free. Start without an account; sign in to invite friends.

A trip to Italy on Trekit: Naples, Rome, Florence and Venice numbered on the map and joined by the route, with the plan and an Invite button beside it

How it works

  1. 1

    Pick where and when

Add the stops in order and the dates. They go on the map, numbered and joined by a line.

  2. 2

    Invite who’s coming

By name, @name, email or a link. Everyone edits the same trip, and you see who added what.

  3. 3

    After, tick what you did

Say which places you made it to. They land on your own map as been, with the day.

Everything for the trip in one place

Each stop has its days and places, with ideas for things to eat, see and do. Open any place in Google Maps, or add the whole trip to your calendar. Changes show for everyone within seconds, and a daily email of what the others changed is there if you want it.

And it’s the same map as everywhere you’ve been, so the next trip sits next to the last one.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes.

Do my friends need an account?

Yes, to edit the trip: one tap with Google, or an email link. No app to install.

What do they see?

Only the trip: its stops, dates, places and notes. Not the rest of your map.

Will I get emails?

Only if you turn them on: one a day at most, on days someone else changed the trip.

Can I plan a trip on my own?

Yes. Invite people later, or never.
